CASA Volunteers
Pete and June Slagle

Few CASA volunteers have led as interesting lives as Pete and June Slagle. Veterans of the TV and film industry, they retired to McKinney and began representing children for CASA 14 months ago. Working as a couple, they have closed 3 cases successfully in a short period of time, and have accepted a fourth.

"It is always emotional," said June, speaking of her relationships with those they have represented, "and sometimes heartbreaking."

Their outcomes, however, have ensured bright futures for the children they serve.

In addition to serving as advocates, the Slagles are the "official" photographers for the CASA golf tournament, taking photos of participating teams.
